On Friday 2 April (Good Friday) and on Saturday 3 April The National Library of Estonia is closed. During cleaning day on 5th April the Library opens at 16.00.

On Friday, 5 March at 16.00, Mayor of Tallinn, Edgar Savisaar, and Director General of the National Library of Estonia, Janne Andresoo, will open the exhibition „Jaan Poska and Tartu Peace Treaty” in the Main Exhibition Hall of the National Library.

New opportunities for making copies and scanning
The Library provides a new scanning and copying self-service, offered by AS Overall. It is a more convenient and less expensive service as compared with the previous system.

The bookplates by Kaljo Põllu
The bibliophilic publication ”Kaljo Põllu. Kogutud eksliibrised” part I and II(Kaljo Põllu. Collected bookplates)and the bookplates by Kaljo Põllu are exhibited in the Rare Books Collection Exhibition Hall of the National Library of Estonia.
Kaljo Põllu is a distinguished figure in the Estonian art life of the 20th century and a promoter of innovative art in the 1960s. The renowned graphic artist has cultivated also the art of painting and has produced assemblages, spatial objects and kinetic art.
