TRAVEL
Tallinn is easy to access, either by sea, air or land. The distance from the conference hotels to the aiport is 5 km, to the bus station 3 km, to the passenger port 2 km and to the railway station 2 km. The hotels can be reached by taxi or public transport, please consult this web page for details in spring 2005.
By plane - Tallinn has direct flights to and from 23 European airports.
By ferry - There is a daily ferry service between Tallinn and Stockholm and a wide variety of daily connections with Helsinki by ferry, catamaran and hydrofoil. In the summer of 2004 a new ferry connection was launched between Tallinn and St. Petersburg (Tallinn-St.Petersburg and St.Petersburg-Helsinki-Tallinn).
By bus - International bus routes connect Tallinn with Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania. The arrival and departure of buses of company EUROLINES is at the Tallinn Central Bus Station.
By train - Tallinn has train connection with Moscow, connection with St. Petersburg will hopefully resume in spring 2005.

INFORMATION

Upon request the Organising Committee will issue an invitation for attending the conference.
If you need a visa for Estonia, please note that all consular procedures take time (for example, a visa invitation has to be sent by mail). Thus we advise to start with arrangements well in advance.
CURRENCY
Since 1 January 1999 the exchange rate of the Estonian kroon has been fixed against the euro (1 EUR=15,6466 EEK). Three major Estonian banks have their branch offices in the immediate vicinity of both hotels.
